In this page you will find interesting information about what it means to be involved in Public Relations Ministry of CIC SPJ.


In the big picture, the Public Relations Ministry is in charge of the following:

1. Building and maintaining good and close relationships with people (those who attend
    CIC SPJ masses and also activists).
2. Developing a strong bond amongst the team members of CIC SPJ and also people in  
    general.
3. Managing the maintenance of CIC SPJ website, the production of mass bulletins and the
    documentation of events.
4. Preparing and confirming a team of ushers/greeters for mass.
5. Coordinating and liaising with Mudikas of other CICs on special events.
6. Representing CIC SPJ in events when Coordinator and/or Vice Coordinator of CIC SPJ
    are unavailable.


In smaller pictures, the ministry consists of the following sub-ministries:

1. Creativity.
2. Publication and Documentation.

When you’re part of Creativity, you’ll be involved in events of ‘bonding’ nature which include but are not limited to the following:

1. Fellowship e.g. KFC Nite, Pizza Nite, Movie Nite.
2. Fundraising e.g. Indo Fest, Retreat, Cadbury Chocolate, Pesta Kampung.
3. Outings e.g. Kayaking, Paintball, BBQ, Road Trips.
4. Sports e.g. Badminton, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Gundu, Congklak, Poker.
5. Others e.g. Ziarah and Maintenance of Penrose Park Chapel.

If you prefer to do things related to publication and documentation then we've got plenty for you. In Publication and Documentation, you’ll be involved in activities such as:

1. Maintaining CIC SPJ website and e-mailing list.
2. Composing and producing bulletins that are handed out to mass attendees.
3. Digital documentation of lots of events.


When you’re part of the Public Relations Ministry of CIC SPJ, you’re directly involved in building and maintaining relationships internally and externally in a fun and friendly way.

You sort of get a bit of everything:

1. In every mass, you’ll be the first faces people see when they arrive and you’ll also be
    the faces people see during Collection and Procession of Gifts.
2. You’ll also get to ‘meet and greet’ new people who’ve never attended a CIC SPJ mass
    before (and also get their contact info so we can keep in touch with them).
3. You’ll get to demonstrate that you’re quite good with technology.
4. You’ll get to be ‘hands on’ with various events that we organise.
5. You’ll get to be the faces of CIC SPJ when we visit other CICs in events.
6. You’ll get to play some sports which we all know is a lot of fun and healthy.


As you can see, there's lots going on in Public Relations Ministry of CIC SPJ.
