Welcome to the Praise & Worship Ministry of CIC SPJ webpage. The most animated and active ministry in our community!

Praise and worship is not only for those who sing songs or play music. In fact, all of us in the CIC SPJ are part of the praise and worship team. As the name suggested, it is all about praising and worshiping God above. Simply put, if not Him, who else is there worthy to be praised and worshipped?

Unlike most other ministries in CIC SPJ team, we are a ministry of our own. Meaning the ministry does not consist of any sub-ministries. In saying that however, does not mean that we only work by ourselves. As stated before, the whole team of CIC SPJ is a part of the Praise and Worship Ministry. Therefore it is arguable that we might be the largest ministry in the community.

The Praise and Worship community always take part on almost every activity around CIC SPJ. Those activities include:
1. Providing song and music on weekly vigil mass.
2. Leading in prayer and praise during our regular praise and worship meeting.
3. Supporting other non-regular activities, such as workshops, by conducting songs of praise and worship when needed.
4. And any other activities where songs can be heard.

And not just inside the CIC SPJ team itself, we also often support other communities through our involvement in providing music and worship team at different events such as the following:
1. Service in other communities for mass or prayer meetings.
2. Organising praise and worship related area during retreats and recollection
3. Performing at fund raising events for different purposes with other communities
4. And similar to the list above, any other activities where music may be heard!

As well as performing services, we also act as a medium of learning for everyone who is interested in music. We are always on the look for active and young (at heart!) people who passion themselves in praising and worshipping God through songs.

At the moment, we are blissfully given such talented people in our team who can patiently teach anyone in the area of music they are interested in. Some music facilities that we provide include guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, percussions and of course, vocal. In addition, we always welcome other people who have interest with other musical instruments to join our team.

During normal times, the music team usually practice on Tuesday and Friday nights for the next available mass. We also hold weekly choir practice for those who are interested, the practice time changes on schedule and time will be announced closer to the week. Everyone is welcome to join us in any of this time to feel the vibe. It is a great chance as well to get to know other members of the team.
